Many ATV disk harrows have spring shanks that dig shallow seedbeds. But the Till-Ease Model 543 has rigid shanks that penetrate even the toughest ground conditions with a constant attack angle for a deep seedbed that produces a strong crop. The Model 543 also can be equipped with an optional drag harrow and turning shovel kit for working in sod conditions.
The Model 543 has five 13.5" cutting coulters that cut light trash to prevent hairpinning on the rear shanks. On secondary passes, the coulters help reduce clod size. They also score the ground which helps the sweeps to erupt the ground.
The unit comes with ATV operator controls and an electric lift, which makes full-raising transportation and depth changes on the go easy to handle.
The Model 543 also comes with two weight racks, which help the coulters penetrate harder ground. Sometimes 150 to 300 pounds can make all the difference. If the coulters are removed, additional weight is not needed.
Shank adjustments are easy with receivers on the front and back. With the pull of a pin, shanks can be set for various configurations and conditions or removed completely. The rear shanks have 2", 4" and 6" maximum depths, while he coulter shanks are set for 2", 3" and 4" maximum depths.
